About
Oceanside Anglicans is a mission promoting spiritual formation through Biblically orthodox Anglicanism for Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista and all of North San Diego County.
We have a variety of activities including a theological discussion (“Theology on Tap”), weekly prayer and periodic meetings for fellowship. For information on how to attend prayer and fellowship meetings, contact us for further details.
Theology on Tap
Beginning in November 2023, our theme for the 2024 liturgical year is “On the Canterbury Trial”. All our readings this year will examine what is distinct (and similar) in the Anglican approach to Christian faith and spirituality. From Nov. 9 through Dec. 7, we will be reading Robert Webber’s seminal Evangelicals on the Canterbury Trial, in the revised 2013 edition. Future readings will delve into Anglican spirituality, sacramental theology and liturgy.
Our meetings begin at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, when we say together the historic service of Evening Prayer; this followed by fellowship and a discussion of the book. If you don't have the book, we can provide it: contact us for a copy or just show up.
- Nov. 9: South O Brewery
- Nov. 16: Bottlecraft
- Nov. 23: Thanksgiving break
- Nov. 30: Location TBD
Location
Our public Theology on Tap meetings and weekly evening prayer are held at various outdoor pubs and breweries in Oceanside, on or near Coast Highway. During winter months, be sure to bring a heavy sweatshirt or medium coat.
